Quilty Christmas Ornaments
Christmas is right around the corner but you can have these cute and easy ornaments made just in time for Christmas.
Decorate your tree or give them as gifts!!
There will be two different patterns to choose from - you can choose either one or both of them. Each pattern has the directions for 12 ornaments.
Amy will teach you some tips for piecing small projects and also give you some ideas for finishing your ornaments. She will also show you the matching cross stitch ornaments.
Both patterns are fat quarter friendly, so grab some coordinating Christmas fabrics and join us for a day of quilty fun!!
For pattern number one you will need 4 fat quarters (one background, one fat quarter each of two different reds, and one fat quarter for the backing). Amy made hers with tone-on-tone fabrics. You will also need pieces of batting and decorative ribbon for finishing your ornaments.
For pattern number two you will need 5 fat quarters (one each of aqua, red, grey, and green and one for your background). You will also need 1/2 yard of fabric for your backing. You will also need pieces of batting and decorative ribbon for finishing you ornaments.
Please also bring your sewing machine (including power cord and foot pedal) in good condition, your sewing machine manual, basic sewing supplies, thread for piecing, 1/4" foot, marking pen/pencil, scissors for cutting your decorative ribbon, 4 1/2" square ruler (or larger), rotary cutter, 6 1/2" x 12 1/2" (or larger) ruler.
