Instructor Bio: | I have continued to explore Bargello Quilts since my first wall hanging made in 1990. Since I found it time consuming to match all the seams on a traditional bargello, I designed this Bargello With a Twist and the intersections are each a ?half step? up or down, thus eliminating the need to match seams. It is so much faster to make! Bargello is based on a needlepoint pattern from the Bargello Palace in Florence, Italy and from the 16th Century. Strips are sewn together and cut apart in various widths to create the movement. It?s all straight line sewing |
